Colin Findley
Lead Vocals, Background Vocals & Rhythm Guitar
Colin hails from the mid-west and has grown up in
country music. He began playing in his father's band 'Kountry
Kernals' at the tender young age of 14.
Before moving to Florida in 2000,
Colin played in Oklahoma City with the 'Good Ole Boys' featuring
former band members of Alan Jackson, Roy Clark, Hee Haw and the
Rascals.
Although he is the major
driving force behind the 'country side' of THINK BIG, he can
rock as good as the next guy!
Gary Swinard
Lead
Guitar and Lead & Background Vocals
Gary Swinard hails from the UK. His musical career spans four decades of performance, including
working along side and in the company of' artists such as Jeff Beck,
Deep Purple, Jethro Tull and many more.
Gary Sings Lead Vocals
on many Classic Rock songs and is the star of THINK BIG's Eric Clapton Tribute.
Gary's interest in country music started in
the late 70's touring with a popular British country band. In the
early 80's he was invited to appear at the famous nightclub
'Gilley’s' in Pasadena, Texas.
His last English band of 14 years, 'Live N' Kickin', was known as one of the best classic rock bands
in the
south of the country and was a frequent visitor to the main stage at
Disneyland Paris.
Jay Newcomer
Keyboards,
Vocals, Background Vocals
Originally from Washington D.C.,
at the age of 15, Jay was a drummer and lead vocalist of his own
group appearing throughout Washington's hottest nightspots.
Jay took to the road in the 70's
and toured the U.S. and Canada for 16 years as a musical director /
writer / arranger for the Joe Savage Band, a high powered, full
production, multi-media rock experience.
Jay settled in Orlando,
Florida performing at Disney Pleasure Island with Frankie and the
West End Boys. Fans are able to enjoy his talents as the
recent addition of THINK BIG.
Joe Bolero
Saxophone
Joe is originally from
Boston but has been involved in the Central Florida music scene for several years.
For the past 13 years Joe has been playing in the Blues Brothers show at Universal Studios Orlando. For the past 15 years he's been playing with Tremors featuring The Earthquake Horns.
Tremors has traveled from Europe to Hawaii and everywhere in between opening and/or performing with artists such as
Ray Charles (R.I.P.), Earth, Wind and Fire, Glen Frey and Joe Walsh, Gregg Allman, The Dixie Chicks,
AC/DC's Brian Johnson, Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones, Melba Moore etc. Joe enjoys playing with THINK BIG when he is available.
Pete Ballasy
Bass Guitar, Background Vocals
Pete is originally from
New England
and has been playing bass professionally for 19 years.
Coming from a large musical family, Pete was exposed to everything from Bach to Led Zeppelin.
He started guitar at 14 and moved to bass at 17. His tastes in music span rock, country, blues
and jazz.
As a professional musician, he is a founding member of the country/rock quartet 'The Rustler Band'
in the Southern New England area. He also played blues/rockabilly with 'Big Ed and The Esquires' in the Hartford area
for a short period before moving to Florida. He played bass and sang lead vocals for 'Liquid Biscuit Band'
here in Central Florida, played bass for the convention band
'Sidekick' for a while and now enjoys being part of the THINK BIG rhythm section.
John Pumphrey
Drums,
Lead Vocals, Background Vocals
John hails from
Baltimore, Maryland and first started playing drums at the age of 11.
His first break was playing with the local high school band called
'MASK'
After leaving high school John then joined a band band named
'ZIMMERON' who caught the attention of RCA records.
At the same time John
also recorded with MAX DAMIEN for the same label. After
touring for six years John moved to Orlando and has played locally
with Niteflight, The Vibe and now is delighted to be a member of THINK BIG. During his career John opened for 38
Special, Beach Boys, Edgar Winter, Rick Derringer plus many more.
